Our South Dallas Outreach (SDO) team is part of the Duck Team 6 Outreach Program. The focus of this team is on specific South Dallas neighborhoods that need assistance with spay/neuter and fencing repairs to reduce the loose dogs in that area. In order for families to participate, they must agree to spay/neuter and vaccinate their pets. The surgeries are provided either by the SPCA of Texas, or at one of our vets, at no charge to the outreach family. Once the family is in compliance, they are provided with flea/tick preventative, dog food and any fence repairs necessary to contain their dogs. We also help with medical emergencies that might arise. Donations for these items can be made on our Donate page, and just specify SDO in the notes or tribute section.
If you would like to volunteer for our once a month SDO day, we have a brief online orientation embedded below for you to complete. It will only take a few minutes of your time, but will ensure you understand what we expect of you and what you can expect of us and Outreach Day.
